Focus on: SMOK Mag Sub-Ohm Kit

February 09, 2018

We take a look at one of the latest pieces of hardware to come from SMOK, the Mag Sub-Ohm Vape Kit.

To say Smok has changed things up a little here is an understatement! Smok, a brand renowned for creating some of the most interesting devices in the market; such as the illuminating T-Priv and the touch screen G-Priv have really broken the mould with the Mag!

What's in the box?

  • Smok Mag 225W Kit
  • Smok TFV12 Prince 2ml Tank
  • V12 Prince Q4 0.4 ohms Quad Coil (pre-installed)
  • V12 Prince T10 0.12 ohms Decuple Coil

  • User Manual

  • Spare Parts

First Impressions

The first thing that strikes you about the Smok Mag is the way it looks; there really is nothing like it!

Designed to fit comfortably into the palm of your hand, with a reworked 'trigger' fire button it's easy to get to grips with and comfortable to hold.

The visual aesthetics of the Smok Mag are in a league of their own, especially with the range of colours available. Obviously, it’s very much down to personal preference, but Black & Prism is our favourite.

Tech Specs

Battery wise the Smok Mag uses two 18650s and can fire up to 225W, giving it ample power for even the most enthusiastic cloud chaser. Inside you will find the same great chipset as the recent Smok models allowing you to easily use the Smok Mag in either Wattage mode, Temperature Control Mode or Memory Mode. If you have owned a Smok device before this will all feel very familiar, which isn’t a bad thing!

Display & Menu

The display is clear and gives you all the information you could need, from battery life to a puff counter. The bright OLED screen is simple, clear and easy to read. Using the buttons on the front of the mod and the fire button, it’s easy to cycle through the menus and find what you need.

The Tank

The Kit comes with the Smok TFV12 Tank. When paired with the Mag this top fill tank provides an impressive vape.

The TFV12 Tank comes fitted with Smok's V12 Prince Q4 0.4 ohms quad Coil and the V12 Prince T10 0.12 ohms decuple coil in the box. There are plenty of different Smok coils available, so personal customisation is always an option.

Conclusion

There is no denying that the Smok team have created an exciting and extraordinary device when it comes to the Smok Mag. With its stunning looks and the power to back it up, overall the Smok Mag is an excellent piece of kit and is now available at Vapestore.
