What are Shortfills?

Shortfill e-liquids are bottles of nicotine free e-liquid that are not filled to capacity, leaving space for vapers to add nicotine shots or additional flavour concentrates. Typically, these e-liquids come in larger bottles of 60ml bottle or 120ml with 0mg nicotine, allowing the user to add their desired level of nicotine. This concept originated as a response to the TPD (Tobacco Products Directive) regulations, which limit the size of nicotine-containing e-liquids to 10ml. Since they’re free of nicotine, shortfills provide a practical way to purchase larger quantities of e-liquid, offering more value and less packaging waste.

The main appeal of shortfill vape liquid lies in its flexibility. Vapers can customise the strength of their e-liquid by adding the appropriate amount of nicotine using nicotine shots. This not only offers a more personalised vaping experience but also caters to those who are gradually reducing their nicotine intake over time. Additionally, shortfills tend to come in a wider range of exotic and complex flavours, as they are primarily targeted at more experienced vapers who use higher-powered advanced vape kits and sub-ohm tanks.

What are the Advantages of Using Shortfills?

Shortfills offer several benefits that make them a popular choice among vapers:

  • Customisable Nicotine Strength: Vapers have the freedom to add nicotine shots to achieve their desired nicotine level, making shortfills the best liquid for those looking to incrementally reduce their nicotine consumption.
  • Cost-Effective: Buying e-liquid in larger volumes reduces the cost per ml, offering better value for money compared to smaller, nicotine-containing 10ml bottles.
  • Wide Variety of Flavours: Shortfills are available in an extensive range of flavours, from classic tobaccos and menthols to more adventurous dessert, fruit, confectionary and exotic blends, catering to a diverse range of preferences.
  • Reduced Packaging Waste: Purchasing larger 50ml or 100ml shortfill bottles means less plastic waste compared to buying multiple smaller bottles.
  • Ideal for Sub-Ohm Vaping: With their higher VG content, shortfill bottles of e liquid are perfect for high power, sub ohm vape kit that produces dense vapour production and a smoother throat hit.
  • Ease of Use: Adding nicotine shots to shortfills is straightforward, making them accessible even to those new to mixing their own e-liquids.

As we continue to explore the best shortfills of 2023, these advantages should underscore why they have become a preferred choice for many in the vaping community. Whether you are new to vaping or an experienced veteran, shortfills offer a versatile and satisfying vaping experience.

New for 2023: 50/50 Shortfills, Perfect for MTL Vaping

2023 has seen an exciting development in the world of vaping with the arrival of new 50/50 shortfills, specifically designed to cater to mouth-to-lung (MTL) vapers. These innovative shortfills blend the versatility of traditional high vg e liquid shortfills with a balanced 50/50 VG/PG ratio, making them ideal for use with MTL vape kits.

What Makes 50/50 Shortfills Special?

  • Optimal for MTL Vaping:
The 50/50 VG/PG ratio in these shortfills provides the perfect balance for MTL vaping. This ratio ensures a smoother throat hit and effective flavour delivery, which is essential for the MTL style common to pod kits.
  • Enhanced Flavour Experience:
These shortfills are crafted to deliver richer and more nuanced flavour profiles, which is a key preference among MTL vapers.
  • Compatibility with a Wide Range of Devices:
The balanced viscosity of 50/50 e liquid shortfills makes them suitable for a variety of MTL devices, including pod systems and classic vape pens.

FAQs

Got a question? Contact Us

What are Shortfill E-Liquids?
Shortfill e-liquids are large bottles of vape juice that are not filled to the top, leaving space to add nicotine shots or more flavour concentrate. They typically come in nicotine-free formulations, allowing vapers to customize their nicotine strength.

How do I add nicotine to Shortfills?
To add nicotine to a shortfill, simply calculate the desired nicotine strength, and then add the appropriate amount of nicotine shots to the e-liquid. Shake well to ensure the mixture is evenly distributed.

Are Shortfills suitable for all types of vape devices?
While shortfills can be used in most devices, they are best suited for higher-powered devices and sub-ohm tanks that handle higher VG (vegetable glycerin) content well, which is common in shortfills.

Why are Shortfills so popular?
Shortfills are popular because they offer flexibility in nicotine strength, are more cost-effective due to larger bottle sizes, and provide a wider range of flavours. They also reduce plastic waste compared to buying multiple smaller bottles.

Can you vape without nicotine in a Shortfill?
Yes, shortfills UK can be used without nicotine. They are perfect for vapers who prefer nicotine-free vaping but enjoy the wide array of shortfill e-liquid flavours that shortfills offer.

How should I store Shortfill E-Liquids?
Store shortfill e-liquids in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure the cap is tightly sealed to prevent leakage and preserve the flavour and quality of the e-liquid.
